As mentioned in another thread (where we were kind of off on a tangent) here and here, my son is embarking on replacing the rear suspension arms on his (formerly my) 2011 335d. Yesterday in Autos Club he and a friend did the 2 upper arms on both sides in about 2.5 hours, from rolling into the shop to rolling out. This was the first time either of them has done extensive suspension work, so I think that's pretty good. They'll tackle the lower two arms after spring break, but the car already drives better than it did before.

Dorky looking car. The K car does have its staunch fans however, mostly old guys who admire its brutal simplicity, and boxy packaging. These were six passenger compact cars! Bench seat and all! lol
Saw this one today. How old is this one? Looks like they repainted it? Saw a white one about a month ago too. It seems people are more interested in box shaped SUVs. Definitely seen more G wagon recently.

The Defender 90 was introduced in the US in 1994 (they brought a small number of the 110s in '93), and revised crash test requirements killed it off here in 1997.
My buddy in high school had a K car. It was a terrible car.
We had a variety of K cars in our fleet where I worked, and they were indeed terrible. Our fleet manager only ought them for about 1 1/2 model years before getting rid of them. They were nothing but problems with major mechanical failures. I had a Dodge 600 for a year or so before it went away.
