Same here when I had my LS460. It took so long I just took over and parked myself never to use it again. If anyone is around waiting for you to park they will get so frustrated.

I remember that was a pretty big deal back in 2006.
The feature was pretty half baked and difficult to use and it didn’t even do all the work. It would just back into the parking space and stop (parallel space). The driver still had to put the car to drive and drive forward to complete the maneuver. Most owners never used the feature more than once and the option was dropped In 2012.

Haha... I've never tried on my X5. Is it any better on your X7? Speaking of frustration... a guy posted his daughter had his M3 summon to her and at some points it got confused, turned on emergency light and stopped in the middle. People were honking everywhere.

Only thing I’ve tried with the X7 is using the backup feature out of my garage where it reverses the car in the same path as I pulled in. I’ve used it a few times and it is quick to use but it is just so easy to back out of my garage that it doesn’t make sense for me to do it. My wife on the other hand backed out once and hit the side mirror on the side of the garage and cracked the housing a little and of course didn’t tell me but of course I noticed right away, luckily it was cheap to fix. Maybe I should have her use it…always.

It may be used, but it’s used exclusively by me. I don’t regret the amount over used cars I spend one bit. No interest in a used car.

I know everyone knows this, but I still hear my now departed stepfather saying in his southern twang...."It loses $xxxxx the second you drive it off the lot" which is absolutely true. Is it worth the new car smell? I mean the Denali was a '22 with 24k and it smells new still.
And still they always bought new cars, lol. I never have and never will.
