Thanks man. It's been a rough and painful few years for sure. These forums have massively helped take my mind off it, I look at my post count and am like "Damnnnn" lol. My spouse tells me sometimes I'm just in a whole different world when I'm on forums.
Please listen to that advice for your own good, everyone. Orthos don't know anything about nerves like Neurosurgeons do. Let the brain surgeons work on your back and nerves and leave hips and elbows to Orthos.
Sorry for the OT.... but the handicapped card is a godsend, to make it car related again lol. I've already caught one person thinking I was just parking the Mercedes there arrogantly that's said something. (I dig to get it out so I don't display it right away)

Oh your car is 100% a cop magnet. It's a civic, the drivers are a type lol!
As far as parking near nice cars just don't, the only thing I was next to my cars are cars driven by people I directly know or something as expensive....maybe on that second one. I really don't want anyone near my cars

For parking next to nicer cars, I don’t commute. I primarily drive to the German club. If a nicer car is parked away from others, I won’t park next to it. For example, two guys showed up with late 60s Porsches and parked by themselves away from everyone. No way would I park next to them. There are some well cared for 211 Benzes and they are owned by older German folks. They park in the fray. If there’s an empty spot near them, I will take it. They park in the thick of things and expect that someone will park next to them.
In public places like parking structures such as Orange or the one at our LA office which I rarely go to, I just park and hope for the best. It is a Civic after all and that’s a lot of why I got it. Not having modified exhaust is big for staying off the radar. I am not young and the droning would drive me insane. Also, 4 bangers with exhaust sound like ***. Perhaps I wasn’t clear, but if you are parked away from other cars, I won’t park next to you. That’s not cool.

I don't mean to disparage the LX, but I've got a fiver that says the "old lady" had no idea she was racing you. I expect she was just going about her day, perhaps--if she was paying attention--trying to figure out why the guy with the boat towing a literal boat was making such a racket next to her.

Tangentially related, I'm always a bit taken aback when someone (invariably in a Rogue or Compass) just nails it from every light and stops at the next one 2 seconds before me, plodding along and short-shifting at >3k. I mean, ok you do you.

It's a 4-banger, they all sound like that all of the time.

I won't speak for others, but in my book it can absolutely be fun to drive slow cars fast. It is never fun to drive garbage cars fast. The Rogue and Compass are solidly in the latter category.
