It must just be a crappy MB dealer. I would rate ours as A+.
Yep, sometimes the unexpected happens and it takes longer than planned to fix a car. But if the "unexpected" happens every single time, then it's not actually unexpected and is just poor resource management by the dealer.

I have no idea how my MB dealer is for getting work done but the parts department is like what your service experience is like....

Asked him if they would be able to work on it today and he goes “HOPEFULLY today or tomorrow, we’re really slammed” I do not understand, he called me for an appointment. Why do they take a car in if they can’t work on it for 2-3 days?! I don’t get it. To have all these people driving around in their loaners while their cars just sit there.

I made them give me a GLS450 loaner that I saw sitting over there. The loaner guy says “we usually only give that to big SUV owners” nope…if you’re going to make me drive a loaner for 3-4 more days I want one I am at least interested in driving.

So at least I have something I might consider buying for a few days. I like these a lot, they don’t have an athletic bone in their bodies though. In comfort mode it is a total barge. It does fit in the garage though!

A guy down the street got one recently. I like the new tail lights. I used to think MB is more comfortable than BMW because of their softer suspension. But it's bloaty and not as precise as BMW. If the look is not an issue for you, give X7/5 another shot before you make your final decision. I'm not sure if their suspension is any different on the LCI or it's the tire size but I drove a 20" and it's definitely a better ride than MB's.

The X7 definitely has a better overall ride. I prefer the styling of the GLS though. GLS is bigger inside too.

So I made an impression I think. I just checked the app and the hood is open so they’re working on it.

i would have words with the service manager. that seems totally ridiculous.

The inline 6 is smooth but it doesn't feel powerful or effortless, if I were going to get one for me to drive I would get the V8.
maybe you should try to loan an eqs suv. certainly effortless and powerful.

Oh yes. If you use the second row, it's no brainer.

laughable.

steve's s560 appears to be about 4.2 seconds 0-60 (i think)
eqs 580 suv is 4.5 seconds.
hardly 'way way way slower'.

define 'refined'? the eqs suv is absolutely serene. yes i know steve's complaints about lack of carpet in footwell or something.

His S560 is beautiful.

The EQS looks like a bag of turds.

Lol, so you posted an already slower time to 60 to prove what exactly? What's the 0-100? There is no contest between them

I've driven an EQS, it's not an S class by any measure. Far more head motions, body shudder, roll, and lack of locking in at speed. It's sales figures reflect all that

Yeah the styling of the EQS or EQS SUV makes them a no go for me. I haven't driven the SUV but I have driven the sedan. Its very nice, boatier than the S Class, very smooth and refined obviously. Inside they aren't as nice as an S Class.

This is absolutely true. Its surprising actually. The i7 drives much better than the EQS

I wasn't really going into it thinking it would be that way too lol! I thought it would be better due to how heavy it is but it just wasn't

And the i7 benefits from that weight, its all in the chassis tuning I guess.

In this GLS, it wallows. Thats the big difference, it feels loose where the S Class never wallows and always feels tight. The EQS is kind of the same way.

Some call the EQS the “Blob” At the least that is what I hear regarding the sedan EQS
