A V8 doesn’t have to be super fast to be enjoyable or pleasant either, not talking to you directly.
That's true, the GL450 isn't fast but the M273 is really nice even being the small one. It does get way better mpg than the Jeep though so that's a major point in its favor, high teens/low 20s vs 12.5-14.5

The I-6 is nice though since it's lazy, I don't think I've ever really had an engine I need to rev much to at least keep up with traffic. I do want to own a 2ZZ at some point though just to experience it

Yep.

You could catch that engine sleeping down low, but overall it was a screamer. 0-60 in 4.9 seconds.

However I drove that IS about 4 times over 2 years. LS430 wayyyy slower but the engine is in a whole different universe in just about every way. That’s what I mean avout these downsized cars that are really fast but with unpleasant engines… you’re stuck with that engine every single time you hit the gas.

From torque to feel to sound to refinement, just no comparison. Slower V8 wins for 99.5% of driving.

Srtiker, a Ram V8 and 5.7 Sequoia are close acceleration wise according to published times. Just FWIW.

On paper sure, l lined them up and the it was no contest. Ram pulled a full car length instantly and just increased gap from there. They also don't drive anything the same, the 8 speed is just so much more effective than the Toyota 8 speed yet alone the 6 speed!

Plus my first 5.7 ram was cammed and making about 470hp, I'm still mad it got rear ended since it was a limited edition.....even so the 2017 quad cab was still much better to drive than the sequoia ever was but lord that truck had issues to the point it got sold back at peak prices.

I just can't seem to be allowed to have a good ram other than my original 03 lol!

no one said it's 'unbeatable' - there's always a bigger dog. but takes highly modified and noisy polluting ICE cars in your videos to beat it.

You really had a lot of disdain for us filthy ICE owners lol

Oh I know, 100000%. I’m surprised I never see Teslas accelerating fast.

Probably got it out of their system early on and started driving it like a normal car.

That is true.

You would not have liked the TX2K4 event lol. Fox Body Mustang and a Viper were running 6.7 sec 1/4 miles!

I have to say Tesla drivers are very responsible on the road. I never see them driving like the Dodge Charger crowd.

Cope more. The B58 has more than proven it's output on stock internals exceeds 1000, in laymans terms you just need to do bolt on changes.

If you to talk pollution then you should really look into it more before saying anything lol! EVs just export it to 3rd world locations where it's nicely out of sight out of mind so people can maintain their false sense of morality while absolutely maxing out human slavery and suffering.

Maybe? I have found they always chicken out and don't commit to pulls over 120, then again they are already weak by 80 unless it's the plaid so I guess it makes sense?

That was how it was back in the day too.

Most people tap out and back off near 80 mph. Lll

IIRC the B58 can hit up to 600 WHP on a stock turbo.

Yep, it's almost unfair. It's to the point if I ever get a 7 series I would want a B58 car just so I can do stuff like that and not have to deal with N63 issues

Then I must be the exception because I punch it often, maybe a little too much. What I rarely do is a pull from 0-80 because there really isn’t anywhere to do that, it’s mostly when I’m rolling above 60mph.
