The videos I've seen on YouTube are in moderate to heavy traffic. Various Parkways around NYC like Palisades, Beltway etc seem to be their hotspots. Insane stuff.
Think they also call it cutting up. NY arrested some 19 yo idiot last week for doing it and posting online on YT and etc. One of many that do this every night. As long as clicks make them money it will continue.

The 5.0 beat the GM 6.2 and Stellantis 3.0 on a fuel economy test. Obviously these tests are limited to a controlled loop and don't fit everybody's individual needs, but it was interesting for sure. I expected the 3.0 to do better given that the small turbocharged engines usually beat the V8's at unladen highway driving while losing at city or towing MPG. These were all 4x4 trucks with each manufacturer's special off-road trim(Rebel, AT4, Tremor).

The new Tundra wasn't included because they were comparing the new 3.0 to V8 engines. I'll be interested to see more data on these as they get more miles.
Both the Ford and the GMC V8s have lower rear end gearing so I’d expect the fuel economy to be somewhat competitive. There are also two extra transmission gears for the V8s as well. EPA doesn’t favour the 6.2…so something not right

This is mostly what I was going to echo, the 2nd gens are much better so far. I have not seen enough 3rds to comment yet

Something about a full caged car with harness in a cheap chassis that you pull out in front of these guys with......heck that still probably wouldn't deter them and it would just make even more revenue!

That's because the EPA testing is a test not real world. They used to give a range of city/highway mpg as well, that range also consequently usually included the real world interstate numbers more often.

Like my car showing a highway up to 25, considering I've gotten 24 that's much more believable than the big bold number they list.

so 'anyone' can bolt on things/replacement parts and go from 400hp to 1000hp? ok i'll bite, how.

If you to talk pollution then you should really look into it more before saying anything lol! EVs just export it to 3rd world locations where it's nicely out of sight out of mind so people can maintain their false sense of morality while absolutely maxing out human slavery and suffering.
this talking point and variations is bogus. give it up.

and a plaid is 1020hp so a 600hp b58 car won't stand a chance.

Not sure how I pull it off but I've been doing ok with sub 300 hp engines for many years now. Lol 🤓

Two of my cars are roughly 300hp. It's enough.

420hp 460lb/ft. Honestly not that impressive of raw numbers anymore but hey, it's still a huge Corvette V8 6.2 detuned just a bit. Remember how I was talking about engine feel. As fun as the 3.5 Eco F-150 I had, it just not nearly as pleasant of an engine even if it did have more grunt down low once the turbos spooled. But it did have 500lb/ft. But it was lurchy and not refined like the big V8.

Another GM V8 is coming. I heard 525ish hp, we'll see. If that's true GM is about to really wipe the floor with everyone.

Right under the 300 hp.

Do you ever wish it has more?

That's plenty, doesn't even need that much.

Give me a nice big V8 with a cast iron block, a real truck. Lol

Not sure how over built the block is on the Denali but guessing a bit if it was a Corvette engine.

Can't put a wimpy block in a car that has a reputation for people bolting on more HP.
