Yeah for real, the hood line is ABOVE the bottom of the door glass lol! I gave this gen so much crap when it first came out for that

They also suck to work on since the engine is buried deep and the 5.3 is tiny so you can't reach anything

It's just we are so used to the ones with the 22 inch rims and them being so spec'd out... I'd drive that.

There is no 5.3 in the HD line BTW. It's 6.6L gas or Duramax.

The 24 Ram 1500 I drove a couple weeks ago had a bulgier hood than my F-150 and it was noticeable.

The one on my F-150 at least slopes down somewhat from the windshield.

Seeing that I’m buying it and you’re not, I really don’t care what you think but thanks for sharing lol

The front intakes are functional, they route air around the side of the bumper and out a slit in the back which improves stability at speed and cools the brakes. My S Class has similar inlets on either side but they also cool the intercoolers. Intercoolers on the GLS are not in that position.

The front ends of some of the vehicles with big grills on cars, SUV's and trucks don't look so prominent from different angles. The spindle was the first one that comes to mind.

Yeah that angle I posted is from down low looking up which emphasizes the size of the nose. In person it doesn’t look like that.

As I often do after I have lunch nearby on a Sunday is I will stroll through the MB dealer since they are closed. Came across the first S63 AMG I’ve seen live and in person. Looks awesome, I still would prefer the hood ornament and traditional grille…

GLS looks good in white too

not that you care but i think they look much better on your s-class.

I'm kinda shocked you removed it, lol. But then again, my car does not have the "snake" either. Instead, it has a little flap on the airbox that produces a little more sound. When the car is off, it stays open. I believe vacuum pressure is used to keep it closed while the vehicle is running. It opens up just below 3,000 RPM. Some owners remove the vacuum line to keep it open all the time for moar sound.

Such a pretty engine bay. But my IS 500 also has a single intake, unlike your LC 500. I wonder how that affects the driving experience.

IS 500 engine bay looks good to me but I'm biased.

Alex, would it have killed Toyota to put 5W-30 on the oil filler cap lol? I'm about to cross 4k miles. Oil change coming up soon, hoping they don't put 0W-10 oil in there.

Something like this would have been nice.

Well I got screwed by the 4.0, made the mistake of taking it on long trip and it lost cyl 2 from a coil/plug. So I get to fix it 500 miles from home lol!

There is a sticker under the hood, but I didn't have it in the shot.

Theres a little bit of difference between expressing an opinion in general, and expressing an opinion about a car someone likes and is considering purchasing or owns themselves. You don’t always have to express your opinion, and you don’t have to do it in a rude and belittling way.

You love to **** on stuff people like that you don’t like…then put a little smiley after it. You don’t like the car, in the future when I discuss it or post pictures of it just know that I know that, and keep it to yourself.

This is reason 314 why I don’t want to keep old cars. You can fix it, I’d be stranded.
