Can't tell for sure without checking those tires' specs, but, at first glance, they don't look large enough to safely handle a fully-loaded truck of that size.

Which might be a problem if they were actually going to drive somewhere like that. I'm sure they're more than sufficient for moving it from where the lift is to where the trailer is.

So I heard from the dealer. This is what I was told (the car was promised Friday, and then today):

Hey Steve, I talked to the tech its at the point of coming back together but he cant give me a time frame. So unfortunately i don't know if it will be tomorrow or just before the end of the week.
So that means...next week lol

I asked him how much it would have cost out of warranty:

Yeah i wasnt sure myself how big of job it was. Basically the whole front end comes off. Just in parts alone it upwards of $3000 so it would be a pretty penny out of pocket with parts and labor. Im glad we caught it before you were out of warranty
From what I have found online its a 24 hour book job, so $225 an hour times 24 hours plus the parts means this is a $9K job at the dealer...for leaking valve covers...

So...no warranty...no S Class folks lol

Valve cover gaskets are more than $1500 each just for the part?

Apparently there are a bunch of hoses that also need to be replaced because they can’t be reused once they are removed? There’s a whole kit they had to order from MB. It’s a liquid gasket, not a physical gasket.

Ouch! A $9k valve cover gasket job? I had no idea until you posted the other day it's a "drop the engine" job.

I bet you'll have the GLS until Monday.

It's dramatic with that car since it still uses gaskets instead of sealant and is VERY tight in the bay.

I suspect $9k repairs like this will bite hard on the resale value of these when they get some miles in them.

Good golly, it's just a valve cover gasket.
What other expensive repairs should an owner expect, who knows. Lol

That super lifted Ford above reminded me of the "Carolina Squat" trucks that were banned recently. It go so bad North and South Carolina banned the mod lol.

These ugly things:

Yes that's why they get so cheap relative to new prices once out of warranty. That leak issue is why Audi switched sealing strategies, their new style can last over 200k but the con to it is if it DOES leak then it's even worse since they use the valve covers as the cam caps as well.

My W12 doesn't but the 4.0 does, the 3.0 is still using traditional method but it's super easy to access that one.
