When I’m at stoplight, sometimes I look over and see what kind of tires the tires around me have on them. Generally older and cheaper cars have cheap chinese tires on them. Mastercraft, Startfire, Waterfall, Delinte are seemingly the most common ones. But when I see them on an expensive luxury car.

I agree. My Continental tires were made in Portugal.

My Toyos were made in the US. I don’t go cheap in tires.

Got news for you, Jill.......Some Goodyear tires ARE made in China. Goodyear operates plants all over the world.

Pretty sure the overwhelming majority of my tires have been made in France, with the balance made in Germany. Don’t have anything against US tires (for example Firehawk Indy 500 are an absolutely stupid bargain for what you get), just haven’t been right for our cars.

Bought my car used, the dealer had put chinese tires on the front. I don't waste rubber, I'll replace them with better tires when they wear out.

Exactly. Maybe vehicle came with the tires. Maybe the person needed a tire and that’s all that was available or could afford at the time.

Chinese tire > no tires

My stuff is all rolling on Michelin PSAS4s that were made here, and they have been stellar on everything so far. My SUVs are on defenders except the Jeep....

So far they not only handle great etc but are perfectly on track for mileage predictions
