I don't deny that the 2GR is a good engine, it's just not particularly torquey. The FKS famously has received a lot of criticism from Tacoma owners for how much you have to rev it to feel any power, coming from their 1GR 2nd gen Tacomas with the 4.0.
The nice thing about a turbocharged engine is that the torque comes on very strong at low RPM's(The version of the B58 in my car makes peak torque from 1380-5200 RPM). Essentially you're at full torque at any given time in the powerband. It's amazing. Instant acceleration whenever you want it. There's a reason the IS350 is generally compared to the 4 Cylinder 330i rather than the 6 cylinder M340i.

i just imagined this thread 10 years from now ... still arguing over how many cylinders, toyota's reliability and lack of innovation, german vs. japanese cars.

^^ haha.
in related news, i got myself a new 4wd vehicle!
no seats though, and a 'cargo bin' that would hold about 3 cans of soda.
but it does a hell of a job cleaning my pool.

Did you name it? Lots of people do.
No, my guess is an S420. If it were V12 there would be badges on the C-pillars. It can't be a 320 because those didn't have headlight wipers.

He looks like a Peter to me lol
I name stuff like that ordinary names and it drives my kids NUTS. They'll want to name a stuffed animal "Pooty mcRainbowcloud" and I'll say "No, I think he looks more like a Sean to me" lol
