Same. All weather mats is one of the first things I add in every vehicle. Put the carpet mats in a bag or the box the all weathers came in then put them in storage.

Personally I think carpeted mats are way easier to keep clean. You just give them a quick vacuum. Rubber mats have to be taken out and pressure washed, and let dry where carpet just needs to be vacuumed.

My other issue with rubber mats is they beat up my nice shoes, they always wear down a section of the back of my right heel.

Unless they are the Silver OEM ones my car comes with.

These are my thoughts as well as that all weather mats are just cheap looking, feeling, louder, and don't have nice features like a color matched stitched leather binding.

It's like a work truck vinyl floor option that you are for some reason opting to put in your 100k+ cars footwells. That doesn't make sense to me, once I tried nice ones on your recommendation Steve I haven't looked back....heck I imported Audi exclusive mats just so I had perfect ones.

I work in a dirty, dusty environment and I just leave the carpeted mats in. I think I even had some hydraulic oil on my work boots from the stupid leaking forkilft.

Just took a pic of my mat. Even a half assed vacuum job will make it look good again.

And floor mats are super cheap. Just replace them once a year lol

In other news, the car has arrived! And in an enclosed truck!

Exactly.

That Tundra mat Jill posted is really nice. I'm assuming it only comes on 1794 models?

no, i have the Lexus rubber all weather mats, and they're outstanding. they were already in the car when i got it. the carpet ones were in the trunk and i just put them in a storage room.

this is not my car but you can see what the mats look like (and i have black interior so they don't look as odd as this brown/black contrast):

That look is terrible and way to utilitarian for a premium car.

Lol that's a good idea!!!! That said, floor mats are pretty heavy duty. You can get them pretty clean. That is smart thinking though. The LX came with both OEM but we've never used the all weather ones. They're just sitting in the back.

Lovvvve the car, congratulations!

You didn't have to pay for that shipping did you?
