It's still all a joke bc it's impossible not to dig into the gas with 420hp and 6.2 liters, it's a friggin' Vette engine.. You're getting 10-12MPG unless you drive like a granny. Just like literally every heavy BOF truck out there. Others may not have as willing engines and are driven more sedately, but yeah.

14. It is attainable. That was after an hour of city driving.

You may not remeber this, Jill, but I do.....FWD Cadillac Eldorados had a 500 c.i. V8 (8.2L), introduced in 1970.

You don't feel a thing going through all these gears and the Yukon accelerates well in normal traffic, driving normally.
The Ford/GM 10-speed is definitely the best general-purpose automatic ever designed by car makers. In similar applications, it's just as smooth as the ZF8. Where it falls down a bit against the 8HP is reliability. It's not bad per se, but it's also not damn near perfect like the ZF box.

Dropped my car off for PPF and window tint, decided against the windshield. The blueish tint the windshield has already would be amplified by the tint...

Check out what was parked next to me in for a full wrap...

It looked bad at the reveal but it's truly hideous in person.

Yes, I can believe it. Talk about a tow pig. And I'm sure single digit gas mileage in the city.

Yukon does shut off cylinders but there's this device you put in the OBD socket to disable cylinder shutoff. Maybe you guys can help me make the decision, not everyone says to use it.

But it does work. What do you guys think? I don't want cylinder shutoff on.

What do you guys think?

I meant to get a picture of that too. That is a Model Y with a pink inozetek vinyl wrap. Quality is super great, looks just like paint.

It really is, there are a lot around now. I like the steel but the design is just ugly. I never look at them close because I know that's just what the driver wants hahaha.

I've spent some considerable time recently thinking about picking up a GMC Sierra Denali with the 6.2 V8 and 10 speed. It drives really well, and the transmission was super smooth. The engine felt and sounded great. There are really three things holding me back:

- Small fuel tank. At 24 gallons and while towing, I won't make it very far without needing to stop, and I HATE to fuel up with the trailer attached. My Tundra has a 38 gallon tank, and I definitely use it while towing.
- Price. Unfortunately, it was the Denali Ultimate trim that I fell in love with, but at $87k, I'm just not sure that I really want to spend that much on a truck.
- Unknown reliability. Lots of scary stuff online about the fuel management system on the 6.2. It's 2024, and I don't feel like I should have to disable an engine feature in order to make it reliable.
