Jill, I had to revise my post. I think I have seen 94 around here but it's been a while. Is 94 available in Ontario?
There was a Sunoco not far from me that used to offer 100 Octane Race Gas. It had a checkered flag logo on the pump. I'm assuming people would fill up before heading down to Cecil County Dragway.
It looked like this but it was def 100 not 110.

Why do you all not get this? It's not a tt Mercedes V12, it's a truck engine with a low 10:2 compression and it's naturally aspirated. Like I said, if this 5.7 were only used/designe for in the 570 and asked for premium it would be different. This is the same V8 that went into god only knows how many Toyota trucks. Regular gas is fine.
Hugggggge debate in the link, it's almost dead even.

I want the 2 HP and the better torque curve because I want the best performance my vehicle can give me. We understand your argument we just don’t agree with you. If you didn’t always come down against any kind of concern about fuel mileage this wouldn’t be so odd to all of us.
I do not believe Lexus specified premium fuel for “marketing”. They did so because it made the vehicle perform a little better and since it’s a luxury vehicle they wanted their customers to have the additional performance. Which as that type of customer, I agree with.
Down the line when people buy them when they’re old and used I suppose you don’t want all that performance but as a new buyer I do, that’s how I’m wired. People who run regular are looking at it as a $40k truck and I’m looking at it as a $100k truck.

It makes 90% of torque at 2200RPM on 87, and trust me…. Torque is the order of the day with the 5.7. It was designed specifically for American use.
