That's pretty cool. ES looks like it's held up well. I remember one of your pics from a couple of years ago of your garage with the blue tape - I copied that when we bought a golf cart so my wife and kids could get better at parking the golf cart in a way that allowed us to open the passenger doors on the Tesla..! I was the only one who could park the golf cart for a while but the blue tape has made it much easier.

Its held up well. I took really great care of it for the first 7 years and 170,000 miles of its life, since then it’s sat outside and has been way less cared for, but it’s still kicking! Paint is failing some on the roof, the headlights are completely opaque, but it runs and drives well. 220,000 miles on it now, so my mom has only put 50k miles on it in 14 years.

Yeah the tape helps my wife lol. Otherwise the damn van would be in the center of the garage! I’m going to do some kind of flooring in the garage in the fall, and I will redo it then. It’s lifting and all in a bunch of places. The previous owner painted the floor with flooring paint when he listed it for sale and that’s flaking and all, it’s horrible.

I agree.

I had a fluid exchange done on the LS at about 113k.

Truck will get it next major service, MB has had it done before I bought it.

BTW that ES, I remember that color and it was so popular!

It’s a great color. It always surprised me how popular it was! Most of them had a tan interior though mine is black.

That would be annoying as hell, I like bare sealed concrete best or really nice epoxy

Im guilty of doing it myself when I list houses for sale. Looks great when they are for sale and it’s cheap but it’s terrible down the line.

I think I’m going to do swisstrax tile.

Ooooh that's nice! I love how they look but I would be sacred of dirt/fluids building up and the resultant cleaning, right now I throw down cleaner and mop it out.

Or I can just stop working at home.....

Yeah I have thought about that too, but you can always pull it out and clean underneath it pretty easily

My Silverado had four pedals like that. It was a pain. You had to either put the truck in neutral or turn it off before you could set the parking brake. I hated it.

My dad's F-350 has that as well. But the parking brake doesn't even work so it's fine.

Uh yeah, if it's a stick shift there needs to be a handbrake.

I don't think I've ever seen a handbrake in a truck larger than a Tacoma.

And in my dad's truck, there's a bench seat so no real place for a handbrake.
