I wouldn't get black, if I got a darker exterior I would get something like this:
The screens are better integrated than on the new S Class, and these screens aren't like tacked on iPads? Please lol, they have the white bezels and everything...
Not an attractive interior IMO, although the car is cool. I see what you're saying about the picture but in person those proportion issues aren't there, the wheels don't look too small etc.
I spent a lot of time looking at W223s next to my W222 on Sunday when the dealer is closed, and try as I might I just do not like the car as much as what I have. Especially the interior, but also the exterior while very attractive is just bland. Interior design aside there are jus a lot of little quality cut things that would bug me every time I sit in it. Unless the refresh W223 is a big improvement I think I would just keep what I have vs getting a 223.
Another thing to consider is the i7 50i. An i7 50i spec'ed the way I would want it is about $138k, a 50i is the same car but less one motor and is only RWD, they actually get a little bit better range, but optioned similarly its about $16,000 cheaper...8/10ths of a second slower to 60...$16,000 is a lot for that difference, I will have to drive a 50i.
I still don't love the new 7 Series, but I do admit it represents better in real life, and I'd absolutely take it over the new S Class, which is a car that really doesn't do much for me.

I like the exterior of the new S class. The door exterior door pulls are pretty cool. I like the styling for the most. Trendy as well Although I have never sat in it, I just can’t warm up to the two screens that they have I think the SL screens are a better method.

3.
The 7 series screens would go out of style for me rather quickly.

it’s ok but Nothing great. The 1970s open door design with no centre console leaves a lot to be desired
but the exposed screens will age fast. Your screens don’t look like they have aged as they are enclosed somewhat
I agree, but like it or not exposed screens are the style and basically everything has them, they can't be escaped.
Driving the S560 today, I think it rides smoother on the highway than the 760, the 760 kind of floats around a little more, the i7 feels more like the S560 on the highway probably because of the weight.
The W223 seems like a big step down from the W222 in styling. Not a fan of the 7 series grille, but I also really don't like the S-Class grille(except for AMG) that much either so it's a wash.

agreed the white thick bezels aren't great, but then my car is 1/3rd the price of that i7 so i can live with it.

it's minimalist and not luxurious to be sure. but short of massaging seats it has about every 'feature' most people (and i) want. the seats and ride are surprisingly comfortable.
for my use driving to clients and my office, it works for me. i don't want to show up in too 'fancy' a car.
