Exactly, if you know that truck well it's literally an hour to get it in the air. Makes all the rest of the work very very easy and fast, the only trucks it's not worth it IMO are LSs and Hemis since access is amazing.

HD diesel trucks have had cab lifts as a standard procedure for major engine work for the last 15-20 years. Emissions have made those trucks so complex that it's just the way it is.
And you're not going to make a diesel without a turbo. They need them

On another note, love the PHEV lol. I filled up the van today for the first time since Jan 2nd when we got back from Albany, it was only down to just below 1/3rd of a tank too, could have gone another month probably with the weather getting warmer.

In the real cold weather it runs the engine more to heat the cabin, and range does the typical 20-25% decline so we're really only getting 26-27 miles of EV range vs 35.

The old Yukon I had didn’t have 200k, but it was 20 years old and had nothing done ever either, except I did change trans fluid because I tow. That thing refused to ever break down. 20 year old coolant and all fluids.
5.3 V8.
You just can’t do that anymore with all this complexity now.

This is what I mean, or an example of how trucks are built tough.

You almost have to wonder if it's worth it though, if it tows it tows.....my Sequoia does excellently, would I even really care if it had 150 more HP? It's not like it will change how I tow stuff around since I don't accelerate quickly at all when I have 7k+ behind me
"Tools" like that I would rather just keep as mindlessly simple as possible.

No but my dads rover does, and it didn't change the towing experience much at all. That's obviously also a V8 but it is smaller in terms of size, the super more than makes it up though lol!

I don’t disagree. Toyota makes a great engine in the 5.7. I was just showing some pics of the Ford and last Gen Tundra for reference that some of their repairs need the body lifted.
I wouldn’t want the hybrid either. And no interest in the turbos
you never replaced the brake fluid? Or the steering fluid? 0r the spark plugs?

The torque of the hybrid model is what impressed me and reviews say its pulls like a diesel.
sorry I did change the spark plugs at 99k. Never touched the brake or power steering fluid. With lack of maintenance, it just continued to run. I don’t think I would be so lucky with turbos.
I had an AFE pro dry air filter that I would rinse off and throw back in. I took it off before I sold the truck. Fram cabin filters from Walmart when needed. 0-20w Mobil 1 synthetic oil. Toyota OEM oil filters in packs of 5 from Amazon. I had engine cleaned and interior detailed before selling.

You would still have the reliability challenges of the turbos in a TTV8 though, hopefully they would design it smarter.
