Although bitkahuna himself recently got an LC, it's no secret that luxury-coupes are not very popular these days, so there is probably some excuse for the RC and LC not selling very well. But, at least IMO, the LS's poor sales are at least partly of Lexus's own making....they took an excellent luxury sedan (the LS460), and, with the replacement LS500, screwed it up.
When you have a CEO stating "we make this amount and they're sold at a decent time, we're doing good" this was a while ago so I gave up hoping for a true performance battle.
Get in my friends E63s or other like levels I just shake my head about Lexus.
I wish the LS500 was a V8 with a twin turbo option.
The few times I've actually noticed an LS500 in person, it struck me as being a very plain car. Easily mistakeable for a generic Toyota family sedan. That's not luxury flagship material. The 7 series and S-Class are in an entirely different league from the LS.

traditionally it never was.
Lexus wont do in your face luxury anyway, from wrong country for that.
The LS has always been quite plain and subtle, thats part of its appeal. I personally think the LS500 is beautiful, its low and wide and has great lines. Looks and quality aren't its problems.
Personally, I like the anonymity, I get a lot more comments about the S Class than I ever did my LSs and it makes me uncomfortable in some situations
