Pass or Fail thread!
This thread is for thoughts about Pass or Fail.
I chose this one because it was a hard call for me to make, right on the edge.
Thinking the orange accents are just slightly over done
So, I have to give it a fail.

Are those orange stripes stock? I'm seeing more factory cars coming out with that "stripe" styling. Not a fan, either. FAIL.

eh screw it, it's a pass from me... not like that car has anything else exciting or memorable going for it lol

I think it's distracting, similar to orange or red calipers.

I give it a PASS. Cmon guys it’s a gray boring box, can’t we have a little fun?

actually it's rather timely to have a pass or fail thread since i was just talking about this with someone, but here is a major FAIL according to me: the whole concept of the 'SUV coupe'!
i think BMW is to blame for originally doing the X6, then mercedes eventually follows and now the trend is further infecting the product lines
assuming it's done well, a coupe looks nice and an SUV looks nice, each in their own respective way... but when you try to combine the two it just looks too tall and bloated to truly be a coupe (also 4 doors), and too low and slanted to be a rugged useful SUV... not to mention they suck to see out of rearward

The new 5 series has a freaking placard that says "5" right behind the rear windows. That's a huge miss for me and tacky as hell to the point it's like the cringe domestic truck 4X4 stickers.

That does look bad, especially because they also ruined that classic BMW 5 series rear window curve.

Amen. The damn plate just highlights it. I was in shock when I saw it in person how tacky the new 5 is, was really not expecting so much plastic and one dimensional styling

On the pass or fail thread - BMW 2-series of the current generation?
This is probably its most flattering angle.

I used to not like the coupe SUVs. But I’ve warmed up to them now. And I find most of them more appealing than the SUVs they’re based on. Particularly the Genesis GV80 and Mercedes GLE. But I do prefer the BMW X3 to the X4.
And I still think the Tesla crossovers look hideous…..

That 5 looks so out of place. Plus, on the model # on the trunk lid the number 5 is larger the others in the designation. It's more subtle than the ones behind the rear windows, but still..
