Why Do You Love Your Lexus (or Toyota)?

Absolutely love my GX460 with the updated AA infotainment. It feels special. It feels like a mechanical piece of machinery. It has a personality and usually in a bad mood. It just feels alive. Oh I named it Bruticus.

My current IS500 is the 3rd Lexus I've owned. My dad still occasionally drives a 2007 IS250, which reliably chugs along just fine. From what I understand, everything is built in Japan. Every supplier is local Japanese, from pumps, to alternators, to tires, basically everything. It is truly one of those vehicles that is put together almost entirely from parts and suppliers in its host country, with long standing relationships built and trusted, and I guess there is something to be said about that. You can just feel the car is built with the right materials of construction, well-engineered with good design margin, and high quality parts. They don't seem to cheap out on anything. Now some might argue this conservativeness comes at the expense of pushing the limits and achieving high performance, but it comes down to what you value the most as a consumer.

it boils down to build quality and reliability for me. i spend a lot of time on the road and not in a shop whereas friends and family outside of tmc usually have issues in these areas. i only wish they made the next gen performance lexus line already. since they haven't, i've started to look elsewhere to spend money.

Off topic and sorry for the rant, but I absolutely despise Toyota company and their vehicle. Overpriced, uninspiring "appliances", average reliability, expensive maintenance and absolutely worst customer service, both from dealers and corporate. I have owned 9 Toyota / Lexus vehicles since 2005, and my experience over the past few years has been "never again".
Despite saying "never again" you sure did continue going back to them many, many, times.
Go own a slightly used Audi for a few years and report back to us on how much Toyota sucks...

One thing I always appreciated about Lexus products was how "tight" the vehicles remained over years and years of ownership and hundreds of thousands of miles. No squeaks, no rattles - they always drove the same at 250k miles as they did at 50k miles. A real testament to overall build quality.
It drives and rides absolutely zero differently than the day I bought it.

Sucks so bad I ditched all my Lexus cars lol!

With my now departed 1999 RX300, I loved the rear look of it. Remember seeing it when I was living in Chicago and wanted the vehicle. Too many other good times with it especially south of the border in Mexico, but a true dependable workhorse.
With my now departed 2016 CT200h and my current 2017 CT200h, great mpg, reliable, and simple to fix, very impressive design concept.

For me, the LS430 is among the best cars Lexus ever made. The mechanic I’ve been going to for almost 20 years is a Lexus specialist and he concurs. Congrats! Yours looks very nice.

It's crazy how it still feels the same and drives the same. They never break. It still feels and drives like an extremely overbuilt flagship luxury car tank. Thanks btw for the compliment. I'll never everrrr get rid of it.

I got my first Lexus at the end of 2016, it's 2013 GS350, I love it a lot, so my gf, we don't have any experience with other cars (or brands) other than my trouble free '00 Accord 5-speed manual and '12 RAV4, but we just love the car. Now my wife (no more gf) got herself a RX500h, and she keep telling me the car is so good, it was a big upgrade for her from RAV4.

Oh yeah, I think LS430 is one of the best cars ever made period--not just Lexus.
