My experience is kind of opposite arentz07. Maybe because it's the most reliable modern BMW. I had many Lexus cars/SUVs and over the same window of ownership, I had issues two GX none with the X5. The worse part is Lexus said my issue is within specs. It seems to be a common issue on GX family - the car drifts to one side. I hate these start/stop features. Some say with the 48V it's quiet. I still think it's a lot. Luckily mine is pre LCI and can be turned off with coding. Some MBs are worse.
I can tell you after 22 years of owning Lexus vehicles and now having a Mercedes, it would be hard for me to go back to Lexus. Sure the reliability long term is a bigger question mark but overall the product is much better,
Except ES and maybe IS, I think it's hard for Lexus to compete. I'm an SUV type of guy now and I don't see coming back Lexus anytime in future. Their vehicles are are not daily friendly IMO.
I’ve had two used Lexuses. The first owners of my cars had lots of warranty work. My 2007 RX had to have a new navigation system installed when it was 2 years old. The GS had some things replaced but I’d have to look to see what they were can’t remember.
In 11 years of Lexus ownership, I just had my first warranty repair. GS battery went dead and was replaced under the factory warranty. Car is almost 4 years old, but only has 5,000 miles on it, which is hard on a battery. I vow to drive it more!

Is the alternator and voltage regulator OK? They can contribute to excessive battery-drain if they get weak or fail.
Owned two of the previous gen RX 350, never had an issue. True blue appliances.

Tenders for the win, I have 5 of them lol!
The crossovers for sure are appliances, but I really love what they did with the new GX, it's like a less pretentious G Wagon. Sadly the cars are a shadow of what they once were, excluding the LC500 and IS500, I think those two are still nice.
