Poor cold weather viscosity vs Amsoil which is the same price. Seat of the pants impression, makes engines run louder. But I have zero intention of every convincing anyone what the best oil is I only say what is best for me. Motor oil is a religion to many buy what you want.

Best oil again for me
one of the few oils in the world which exceeds all of the oem specs reccomendations so its worth it based on ester and pao base .
I can rate amsoil 3rd after penrite.

Every oil a particular person happens to be using is the best.

just looked at my oil change spreadsheet on my stable of cars, all over 100k, but with differing uses = i see valvoline, pennzoil platinum, castrol, and even rotella (for the high zinc) though it's not a diesel...not sure why i stopped buying mobil 1. all synthetic.
best motor oil? might as well ask what type of underwear is best.

Maybe slightly off-topic, but it reminds me of an old Jockey-brand underwear commercial from decades ago.....

Rotella T is a fantastic oil. Way better than its nondescript Shell branding and utter lack of marketing would indicate.

I like using Brad Penn for my Porsche, but only because that's what's been used on it since the mid aught's based on the records I have on the car. I just wanted to stay consistent with the PO's of that car.
On my S2000, I use Mobile 1 5W30 since that's what's recommended from Honda.
For my X3, I use whichever is the cheapest oil I can find that meets BMW LE-17. I just bought some Castrol Euro Spec from Walmart which I plan to use in about 2 months. The previous oil I used was Motul 5W-30
On our Model Y, we use nothing lol.
