My friend, neighbor, and Club 350Z-Dallas member: SkiDazzle, has just taken delivery of his TOTALLY Customized Twin-Turbo 350Z!!!
He will be here at my house in @ hour! According to the latest Dynos, as of today....
This car is putting down 432 WHP!!!!! And a CRUSHING 393 ft./lbs. of Torque!!!

Just a question here. Why is it that an SC with stock 225hp can put down more than this with less money in turbo mods. The 350 or g35 costs more to get less hp, even though stock it bests the sc's hp.
Just wondering.......

my guess is that because the 350z engine is relatively new, most of what you're paying for in turbo mods is for research and development, while the 2JZ-GE engine has been around for over a decade, and turbo mods are more common and easy to get for that engine, thus dropping the price of it.

But what about the hp difference. Wouldn't it make more sense for the 350 to end up with more hp after boost since it starts with more hp?

Good point. The main problem is the VQ is not a FI engine. The 2JZ was designed to go FI that is why it is arguably the strongest engine of all time. The VQ is produced in the :
350Z
Quest minivan
Maxima
Altima
G35s
Pathfinder
I35
Hell almost everything they make. So the engine is more tuned to be reliable and powerful stock. It's not really built for FI. You got to customize everything to make power even close to a 2JZ. Which means dumping more money and getting lesser results.
