Anyone ever give a thumbs up to the driver of a passing car that you liked?

Like AJT123, I give it all the time I see something nice and distinctively appealing on wheels, a classic in great shape, sporty and sexy muscle car, or something that brings me nostalgia… I will give a thumbs up. I don’t discriminate. If it caches my eyes, I thumbs up 👍🏽

I’ve noticed this as well over the years.
I used to get thumbs up from the cops while driving my C7 Z06. Sometimes too much attention.
Then in my little Honda guys will roll down the window at a red light and say let’s see what it can do.
Believe it or not my R4P grabs a lot of attention and sparks a conversation.
I see a cool car, I’m definitely giving the

Yep, pretty much. Trying to get another driver's attention can go south real fast. Most people assume the wrong thing or are looking to race.

Way too much detail. Lol
C'mon man, what kinda cars have merit?
For me it has to be cool in some way.
Fast, bold, classy, etc.
Like an FJ7, lifted, with a snorkel and off road kit, including bumper jack and spare time on the rear door, in BLUE, gonna get a thumbs up from me. Lol

I've actually complimented the owners of cars that are older gen when I see them around. To me, they represent survivors and a nostalgic reminder of the past of a model. Cars that were well maintained and cared for.

I see Corvette drivers actually put their hand out the window if they are going by on the street.
Never saw it as an RX300 owner, but some of the CT200h owners in the area, sometimes put up a hand or thumb.
When I lived in Mexico, whenever I saw American plated cars in the neighborhood, we always gave a wave.

As with anything, I read the situation. Sometimes it’s a head nod high sign. I don’t overthink it and most of the time, I mind my own business.

Ok ya'll started something.
Was leaving the store today and saw an old man getting into a late 1970's Camaro Z-28.
So, I gave my horn a beep and a thumbs up, he just smiled and gave a thumbs up back like he had done that a 1,000 times already and was used to it. Lol
