Smile New York International Auto Show starts Friday, March 29.

For those of you interested in, or planting to attend the New York Auto Show, for the public, it starts this Friday, March 29, and runs until Sunday, April 7. Fioer the press, it starts tomorrow, Wednesday, March 27. The show's first few days, however, overlap with Easter and the Christian Holy Week, which may keep a number of people (and maybe press) from attending.

Here are the details, and the web-site:

I went on Easter Sunday about 10 years ago--it was packed. Holy week does NOT deter attendance. In the 1990s, I was able to score a ticket on Dealer Day - the Thursday before the show opens to the public. THAT is the day to go if possible.

It's 5-7 hours each way from Rochester to the Javits Center, so my guess is no. You're actually about 2 hrs closer to the NYIAS than she is, even when she's in NYS.

I'm heading there with the fam the last weekend. Flying into Newark on the way back from our spring break trip so it's a quick trip into the city from there.

My show-going days may (?) be either over or almost over.....aging legs/knees and foot-neuropathy are seeing to that. I post these show-links mainly for the benefit of others, not me.

And yet, the streets of NYC are constantly clogged with cars to the extent that they are going to start charging you for the privilege of driving in Manhattan......

You are replying to the 2018 NYIAS thread. Here's the one for this year:

Rise of the dead threads lol

In this year's show, the Kia EV9 won the Car of the Year award, and the Toyota Prius the World Car Design of the Year award.

https://www.autoblog.com/2024/03/27/...ork-auto-show/

The interesting thing is that those are the same 2 cars that shared awards for the North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year.
