Does Toyota's design studio really need help from a random AI image?

 

Personally as a long time member of CL and Car Chat, I wish threads about these AI generated images would be removed or at least tagged in the subject line as renderings. These are continually being posted as “the next whatever” and IMO it diminishes the site’s credibility.

On top of that they ALWAYS turn into a back and forth as people argue the merits of posting such a thing in the first place.

 

I’m guessing the next RAV4’s design is already frozen and it’s way too late to provide design direction to Toyota on this subject. Designs are locked down years before we see it.

 

Looks like it was AI generated with the prompt "I need Rav4 that will look like Highlander"
But still looks smooth to me.

if all you see is AI you’re missing the point. It’s more that that. It’s a request to lexus toyota from likeminded users on this form. Please don’t interfere with trying to take that away from us. And the naysayers aren’t helping either. If this isn’t for you (and I don’t know why it wouldn’t be) or if your vision of tomorrow is limited by today, then just keep on walking. This thread isn’t for you. You aren’t ready for it yet.

true. Or better yet it’s own category. I think that would be cool. Where we could post ideas about future vehicles. A thread dedicated to telling lexus/toyota what we want.

Please just make an AI image thread and post in there ? Don’t think we need one for every Toyota or Lexus model.

Personally I like having tires, never mind sidewalls, on my wheels. That thing is just an Alphard with a different face and tail lights.
