I recently had the fortune of getting access to a "P3" pre-production Aston Martin Vantage, and managed to get a review out of it. Having reviewed the previous gen Vantage, I can confidently say that the refresh is considerably better. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to drive it, since it's still a pre-prod and no one outside of Aston Martin (if I'm not wrong) has gotten the chance to drive it yet and publish it. Nevertheless, the interior is a carryover from the recently released DB12, and it's impressive. Before, the layout and the tech was sub-par, but finally AM decided to bring their game up. On top of all that, they also managed to bring the performance up (from a numbers perspective), and the Vantage now has 656 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque coming from the same AMG sourced 4.0L twin turbo V8. They increased the power by integrated larger turbos, updated cams and better cooling. If I'm not wrong, it tops its class in power figures now (compared to the Porsche 911 Turbo, Ferrari, Roma and AMG GT 63). All in all, it was really awesome to have a first hand experience with this revamped Vantage. Truly looking forward to getting behind the wheel of one! Enjoy!
