Oh so it's in a random old building, around here it's all custom shops that are designed for access from both sides and 10 bays etc.
Makes more sense why they ditched the lifts if that's what they have

Today, I went to one of the discount tire shops in Dallas area for tire rotation and surprisingly found that they used manual hydraulic floor jacks to lift my car. It appears they removed most of their car lifts and only left 2 lifts in the entire shop. Note: the floor has been paved and the removal looks permanent.
I asked them why and they said lots cars, such as Tesla, can not take the lifts. I don't quite buy that. The floor jacks do not have any pucks or cushion. I am concerned that it may damage cars' pinch weld. Luckily, I only drove my old Toyota car there today. Anyone also notices that? Thanks.

The Discount Tire I’ve used since 2010 has always used jacks. That location opened a few months before I first went to it. They knock out so many cars so fast and have experience with expensive wheels too. I’ve never had an issue so far but I only go to this one location.
Otherwise I’ll use my wheel repair guy or I had it done at work.
