Not sure if this should go in the EV section or not, as it covers both hybrid and BEV rumors, but what we know... Lexus has filed trademark applications in Japan for the ES 350h, ES 350e, and ES 500e.

The code for hybrids is "h".
The code for plugin hybrids is "h+".
Meanwhile, the code for EV's is "e", just like the Lexus UX300e EV with a 75 kWh battery pack on the TNGA GA-C platform.
Hence, the ES350e is probably an EV with a smaller battery pack.
While the ES500e is an EV with a bigger battery pack.
Both built on GA-K ICEV platforms.
If ES350e & ES500e used the e-TNGA dedicated EV platform with longer wheelbases and wider tracks for larger battery packs, then they would be designated EZ350e & EZ500e - just like the RZe.

There is certainly the forthcoming ES350h.
Plus, the forthcoming ES350e and ES500e BEV's.
However, due to those two new BEV engine options, I'm not sure if the ES350 model number will continue with a 2.4 L Turbo like the Crown GA-K?
Below is TMC's 2022 timeline for EV's with the 2025 ES BEV; though I'm not too keen on the six-light window design at the C-pillar.
There is an IS replacement coming as a fully electrified model - probably with the dedicated e-TNGA platform under the name "IZe".

Yes, the 8ES could follow the engine lineup of the Crown GA-K.

Interesting thread.
Just a subnote to the above photos, I would wager to say Lexus's design themes are likely going to be different by the time some of those models appear. So I wouldn't take them at face value.

Lexus still uses the "h+" code for their PHEV's?
While overseas, Lexus still uses the "e" code for their ICEV's converted to EV?
Thus, a Benz E300e is a PHEV.
However, a Lexus UX300e is an EV.
Hence, the forthcoming ES350e and ES500e should be GA-K's converted for EV use.
