Well, OK, I won't disagree with that, and I guess an argument could be made along those lines. I've never owned a vehicle with a true leather interior myself. Even the IS300 I once had was cloth-seat. But, on the other hand, the manufacture and disposal of a lot of plastics is not exactly environmentally-friendly either.

real wood and leather is 100% biodegradable. Better than plastic fantastic!

No they don't, processed plastics are far worse

You can't get a new Prius right now. All are sold before they arrive at dealer. It's definitely a supply side issue.

Except that "real wood trim" is bound to a plastic core and covered in urethane, leather is tanned is extremely environmentally destructive chemicals and requires the death of a cow.

Just not compatible with the Prius' ethos.
