Rolls-Royce Wraith - Not Impressed
I just reviewed the 2017 Rolls-Royce Wraith, and given the brand's reputation as the most luxurious brand in the world, I was generally unimpressed with the car. Of course, the ride is soft like no other, and the sound deadening is unreal. But aside from that, I was finding it hard to stay interested with the vehicle. Also, given that this vehicle, alongside other RR models, have a lot of BMW components, it doesn't portray a sense of bespoke build quality. It definitely has its positives, but personally, it's not a car for me (even if I was able to afford it). Curious to know if anyone else has a similar opinion, or if it's just me....

This is way beyond my pay grade, but I'm honestly shocked at this conclusion. Having sat and ridden in a Rolls Phantom, I thought it was the nicest vehicle I've ever sat in. But then again, I'm just a lowly peasant that probably doesn't have the requisite taste to know the difference haha.

You were unimpressed with the Rolls in which way?
It has by far the most comfortable ride.
It provides smooth, quiet, linear power from its V12 engine.
It uses the highest quality materials of any other car that are custom made to your desires.
I drove around in a new Bentley Continental GTC S this weekend and you can immediately tell why it costs over $300k. It would not be my 1st car but if i had 10 car stable, i would definitely have a Ghost or Bentley CGT to cruise in. I think average RR owner has over 10 cars and multiple RRs.

I saw one but never sat in one. Lol
It was cruising thru the grocery store parking lot and I thought the two tone blue/silver paint was custom but now I see it's not

It's also a 2017, so probably sold in 2016 and likely around 8 years old...
It appears to have held up incredibly well. It sounds like your complaints are that it's too quiet, too smooth, too luxurious - which is pretty much what it's supposed to be.

I somewhat agree, it's a "boring" car if you aren't enraptured with the soft and quiet. It's also not a phantom so.......it's has a lot more 7 series in it.
My main thing when I looked at a few was they are not engaging to drive like a Bentley is and are very slow in comparison. Not worth it for me due to that since I prefer to drive, not saying it's not excellent but it is most certainly up against a high bar that it doesn't quite meet.
The phantom is different, it's perfect for its job but you need a driver for one IMO

Phantoms are the real deal,
Ghost/Wraith product is badge engineered BMW stuff.
Some years back I was invited to a RR driving event, the Ghost I drove was loaded with shiny plasti-chrome.
I sat in the Phantom sedan and the departed Drophead convertible, so much better.

I would not see a Wraith as unimpressive.
When I come across one on the road, I smile.
OK, it's not the best thing they can do and is really expensive for what it is when new, but for someone who wants that car, I am sure they enjoy them.
My Lucid is about as big a car as I want to drive.

Wow, if you score someone with 4 fun rides a peasant, this country must have something going for it.

I went back and watched the video.
The impressions of the car in the video are pretty positive, much more positive than the title of the thread would infer.
For a person who enjoys sporty for full on sports cars the Roller is not really the tool for the job.
Just because the Ghost/Wraith do not kill it like a Phantom, doesn't mean they aren't desirable.
