Easiest/cheapest way to get Techstream?
I’ve never really needed it, but I would like to disable the telescopic wheel in my mom’s RX330. It’s not needed and I’d rather disable it and save wear-and-tear at this point.
Any cheap way to accomplish that with a Techstream emulator or something?

Looks like the 2-day "professional diagnostic" subscription was $70:

But I'm reading that Techstream was discontinued a month or two ago, and replaced by Global TechStream Plus (GTS+). I can't find any info on short-term subscriptions in the US.

If you're tech savy, you should get a VCI cable off ebay and find a copy of techstream. I would buy an older laptop that is dedicated only to using that software and never put it online or any other personal info on it.

I suspect it may not have dealer level capabilities for reflashing Ecms and super high level stuff but works ok for scanning modules and codes

i just bought a vci cable from aliexpress to find out which tpms battery is bad in my 3gs.
Comes with latest techstream for under $20.
From the youtubes I've watched, these cheap cables should work with our old-*** cars to customize settings.
youtube speedkar99 shows you can do a lot of customizing
