More dead sedans: Goodbye Nissan Altima and Versa

Once you let other countries leadership have control over your brands - it typically doesn’t work out well. Nissan is not main focus of the Renault ownership group. They should have remained independent or partnered with Honda / Toyota like Subaru did.

The same demise has happened to Dodge/Chrysler with the takeover of Stellantis. No US executives left to fight for the American brands. The new products like the Hornet are just a rebadge of European model. No investments into new V8 etc.

I think ultimately most of these brands will cease to exist and Chinese market brands will be taking over in a significant way over next decade.

And Ghosn was ousted in 2018. It's been 6 years after his departure and Nissan/Infiniti still have absolutely nothing to show for it. The embarrassment of still using the same 20-year-old platforms in their allegedly new vehicles...
