Totally not for me. But I think Cadillac did a great job. Three engines, two V8s. I like it.

You have to come to terms with that fact that what you want Cadillac to be just doesn’t have a place in the modern car industry.
All those former customers will have to go Buick now.

To me the power opening doors are annoying. The power CLOSING doors are another matter. Get in and put your foot on the brake and the door closes, great feature.
Agreed! Power close is amazing, first time I encountered that was on a phantom 7

i think every car with a power liftgate allows you to set the height. at least every car i've tried it on, you manually pull/push it to the opening height you want, then press and hold the liftgate button until it beeps indicating the height has been set. done.

Hmm. I'll look into that.

Our LX doesn't have that.

Got to give Detroit credit for certain things. The vibrating seat I feel like is another very "American" feature that I love.

Neat, it's just a la-de-dah thing that is cool AF.

People GTF out of your way and respect the size. You don't have to wait much to merge. You get used to the size and it's really easy to drive once you get used to it. You would get used to it easily on Florida's flat, large, wide roads.
I would say the Escalade has the highest vehicle brand cache when it comes to large SUVs for any brand. The German crossovers don’t have it. Range Rover does but it is different.

Just a very neat feature usually on Rolls Royces.

That Escalade V above, LITERALLY my dream car.
glad you like it. I have to give Cadillac credit

But the green push from the mags is there and has been. You don't think they're (or can be) bought and paid for because you are on that side of the spectrum, you don't care that V8s are gone and are eager to go full EV. Which is cool, but the push was nauseating for those who aren't really into EVs. They've finally quit with it all, I no longer see 75 blogs a day on my FB about EVs anymore.

@AJT123 I think it was you that predicted that Americans want big V8s

Americans in that segment want big V8s, not elsewhere in the industry.

the escalade v will sell in tiny numbers so not a big indication of v8 interest increase.

Wrong. Buick itself does not sell those type of large sedans in the U.S. any more. That went out with the demise of the Lacrosse and Regal....which are still offered in China.

About the only remaining large sedans in the U.S. are from Genesis and German manufacturers....and they cost FAR more than the Lacrosse ever did.
