In my state (Virginia), more than 20 MPH over the posted limit, and/or over 85 MPH, is an automatic Reckless-Driving charge, which is s serious offense, and at the judge's discretion, could be $2500 in fines and/or a year in prison.

6.5mpg. The Duramax up front did average 8mpg.

I did average exactly 8mpg on the first leg (120 miles) but the speed was little lower and it was relatively flat. The 6.5mpg leg covered 195 miles with quite a few rolling hills. I dropped down to S4 for the hills. Then back to S6

Yeah, and it's not 90+ mph. Lol
In a proper 1 ton you would have MUCH stronger brakes but a half ton is dangerous at these speeds.

Had to order it in, no one local had it and Lexus told me "we just use 80-90 diff oil with LSD additive"
No way on earth Is my car getting any $250 per liter fluids.

I love my car but not that much.

and here I thought that the $50ish/l regular diff fluid was somewhat ridiculous.

edit: this can be found for a lot cheaper than $250. Still a case of wat.

edit 2: LX 75W-85 GL-5 - this is what the manual calls for (at least on the ls600h, I imagine the ls460's transfer case is not so different, both are torsens), honestly can't cost anywhere near as much.

edit 3: 2012-2015 ls460 manual does say LL80 or equivalent. Ah well.

it's a race car on a trailer... it's likely not being towed because it's dead.

Just like on the track everyone comfort level and ability differs. This C8 Z06 take this S turn around 108mph and I’m relatively around the same speed at 110mph

oh btw, there’s 85mph speed limit in Texas.

You know what they say about Texas...everything's bigger, including the speed limit 😆

Yes, I know that West Texas and Montana have some 80+ limits...that's why, in my last post, I asked, instead of automatically assuming that you were way above the posted limit.

I've been on those roads.

Seeing an 85MPH speed limit sign for the first time is very strange. But oh, I happily obliged. 85 means go 90 at least.

Yep, it sucks. I couldn't find any alternative that is definitively correct so LL80 it is

Does my LX570 need this expensive stuff?

I'm changing out all the transfer case and diff fluids in about 10k miles.

Dealer doesn't want to touch the AHC, the head mechanic that's been there since Lexus became a brand said don't touch it. Not sure if I believe it or not, but the guy has credentials. My service advisor says they never see LXs in for AHC, maybe once in a blue moon. Not an "issue" with the vehicles, though. It's so infrequent she couldn't remember the last time she saw trouble with one.

With all the noise, a car can make going at 6000RPM…the exhaust that must’ve been a lot of fun. Silence would’ve been super boring

If there's a car to pile miles on endlessly, it's an LS430 lol.
