Every BMW model except for the FWD stuff is available with the B58.

I wonder if the B58 will be thought of as BMW's best engine ever?

Love this. It really was a cool car and it’s not the nostalgia:

It’s getting overwhelmingly positive comments on the fb page.

It was just so... American now that I look back.

Red leather, and remember when American cars had red interior door lighting (along with the white)? All fancy? It had like 40 ashtrays in it lol.

It had every feature imaginable, and in 1988 it was pretty cool for "Headlights Suggested" to pop up in the digital display, and that was when you weren't using the automatic feature.

3800 had grunt, Mom would always drive home from the outings if stepdad had too much to drink or something. She'd gun it like crazy driving home. Her car was a 102hp Galant, so I'm sure it was satisfying lol.

I’ve never considered owning a BMW until this engine. Great engine. @Toys4RJill they sound amazing on track. B58 and the GT3 are my favorite sounding engines. Every time I get behind one, I’m mesmerized by its exhaust note.

If you did not see it, I did a Retro-Write-Up a couple of years ago, here in Car Chat, on the original Toronado in 1966.

I'm telling you, get behind the wheel of an M2, M3, M4 Comp or BMW....I'm mean Toyota Supra , you don't need a V8. Although the 4.0L M3 is pretty amazing, to many problems with that engine

The V8 M3 sounded amazing! I was so tempted to get one around 2011 or so. As far as I know that engine was basically the very problematic V10 with 2 cylinders chopped off.

I really like the M2.

I've heard a lot about the 4.0L having issues with the Valve Stem seals. Cooling was also another issue I've heard from owners

Once again:

But yes, I'm surely completely unable to google "b58 max stock internals hp".

You really need to brush up on your ego.
No my argument was a HP vs engine weight and size and what stock parts can handle. I never once mentioned HP/L
