How heavy is your trailer? Mpg and speed?

Trailer is about 6500 lbs loaded for the trip. Took it over Snoqualmie Pass (I-90) which is just a hair over 3k feet if I recall correctly. Ambient temps were in the upper 80s and low 90s.

The truck had myself, my wife, two kids, and the dog.

On the way there, I got 7.4 mpg and 8.6 mpg on the return trip. It was all freeway, except for the occasional slow down for construction or traffic. For the most part, we were trucking along between 65 and 70 mph.

Sweet!! Not bad. Not bad at all. Have you thought about added a blower? Not a lot of information out on how well it tows with a blower. I’m interested!!

As an owner of several 2 liters I dislike this post🤣.

My wife has been driving the Prime lately. She drove the LX 570 today and said it felt sluggish. Had me come to her job and check it out.

It’s not a shot at anything, it made me chuckle is all. Though…

On the contrary when I get right of out the 420hp Yukon and into the significantly slower LX I’m still satisfied with the acceleration.

No plans to add a blower. I have no issue with pulling power with the 5.7 as it is. It's definitely slower when pulling the trailer, but ultimately I have no issues with keeping up with traffic, going up large hills, maintaining speed, etc.

They make stuff smaller than 4 liters? Lol!

The 1.9TDI is the smallest thing I have and I've not driven it yet so I'm not sure what such tiny engine is like to live with. At least mine has high TQ

One of my best friends went from an Escalade to the LX 570 and although the LX is down on power they love their LX!!

Towing with the V6 TT spoiled me. I was picking up speed pulling hills with a 8k load. The only reservation I have on adding a blower is long term reliability. Far as NA goes, 10k oil changes, 87 gas, let it eat!!

Simple fix, go put some 91-93 octane fuel in there! J/k

As I love ours. It will be sucking dust from most these days but still, there’s something about a big Toyota truck, V8 powered at that. 3 tanks of premium no difference in anything btw. Back to 87!

The Yukon is basically new, LX is 10 years old. Not one person in the world-be it a mindless consumer or a pro like us-would he complaining about the ride or drive of our LX if they hopped from the GMC to LX. Other than it being older. 200 is a damn damn fine truck. We want another one.

Hey Striker, a good friend of mine just bought a 2023 S6 with the 2.9 V6TT. Any common issues with that engine or is it generally reliable?
