Despite its pavement-crushing girth, the big LX is a solid performer and on par with similar luxury SUVs. When prodded, our 6155-pound test truck reached 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and covered the quarter-mile in 15.1 seconds at 93 mph.
But 8.0 seconds flat 0-60 from this mess of a hybrid engine.... meh. Getting terrible MPG reports as well, nowhere near rated.
It's not supposed to be a dragster but that is slowwwww.......
V8 200s were pretty quick for 3 tons.
This is slower than the outgoing 20 year old (basically) 4R.

We love the new LX 570. Outfitted with a 383hp, 5.7L V-8 engine with 403 lb-ft of torque, it can really move. That's 115 more horsepower than its predecessor. It also features a new six-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission. Lexus tells us with the additional horsepower and a 22-percent increase in torque the vehicle will reach 0-60 mph in 7.4 seconds. That's a respectable track speed of 15.8 seconds in the quarter-mile.
I wonder if they are getting 6.5 with premium fuel maybe? Anyways, Lexus says 7.4 so great, Lexus underestimated and you get a nice little performance surprise
