It's not supposed to be a dragster but that is slowwwww.......

V8 200s were pretty quick for 3 tons.

This is slower than the outgoing 20 year old (basically) 4R.
Your LX570 is about 7.3 seconds to 60.

6.5. Feels about right from seat of the pants.

Despite its pavement-crushing girth, the big LX is a solid performer and on par with similar luxury SUVs. When prodded, our 6155-pound test truck reached 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and covered the quarter-mile in 15.1 seconds at 93 mph.

and Motor Trend says 7.4

We love the new LX 570. Outfitted with a 383hp, 5.7L V-8 engine with 403 lb-ft of torque, it can really move. That's 115 more horsepower than its predecessor. It also features a new six-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission. Lexus tells us with the additional horsepower and a 22-percent increase in torque the vehicle will reach 0-60 mph in 7.4 seconds. That's a respectable track speed of 15.8 seconds in the quarter-mile.

Lexus says 7.5, most magazines about the same. 15.7 for the quarter mile.

6155lbs and 6.5 to 60--- there's proof that the 5.7 is really strong.

It feels about right. I don't care, I have a fast car in the garage that will do 155. LX is quick enough though to be fun in traffic though.

Does anyone get me when I say the 5.7 sounds like it's blowing bubbles, but in the best way possible? When you get on it...

so Car and Drver got the exact same numbers in 2008 and 2015. Identical in every measure, braking too. So they just reused the numbers.

then Motor Trend tests 7.0

No, that was a fresh C&D road test of a '15 LX570 that got 6.5.

And yep, MT got 7 flat.

Lol it's all good. I really don't care. It's quick enough to have fun with and sounds great. Very burly V8.

I know. But it’s funny that C and D can’t get it consistent. Need to get their facts straight when it comes to auto journalism Land Cruise gets 6.5 too https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...ake-road-test/

I wonder if they are getting 6.5 with premium fuel maybe? Anyways, Lexus says 7.4 so great, Lexus underestimated and you get a nice little performance surprise
