Lexus dealership refused to change my transmission fluid on my (then 11 year old) GS. They said the car is too old and they acted like they had never changed transmission fluid before. Lol. I took it to a good independent place and they did a good job.

Anyway. Today I got my swaybar bushings replaced. Car drives so much quieter and tighter now. And it feels smoother hitting bumps at speed. Now just muted thumps instead of clunking and banging like before. No more squeaking over speed bumps. No weird crumpling noises when driving over rippled pavement at low speeds. Feels like a new car!

Just got a letter in the mail from my local BMW dealer. They showed $32k incentives on a XM, must be really bad if they have to offer that much of a discount. Funny because last night I was behind one and it didn’t look that bad, just not worth $180k.

Yeah, dead giveaway it's not "priced to sell".

Good golly, they're proud of it at $180k. Lol

Been saving a lot of miles by just catching COVID and sitting at home for a week.

There is some truth to that but it was also black so that hides the ugliness of the front a bit.

I don’t think it looks that bad. I actually prefer it to the goofy looking Rivian.

That BMW SUV is gross enough to be in a remake of the movie Casino, which could happen because Hollywood is out of ideas. The word garish comes to mind.

I've seen a few XMs in person. They look garish to me. The wheels, especially, just do not work at all. I also don't like the rear hatch. It just looks unfinished, somehow. There's no BMW badge (apart from an etched one on the rear glass), so maybe that's why.

‘I would say the XM is a very strange design. Probably will get canceled soon.

‘What’s up with Casino? I don’t understand the reference.

Toyota Highlander has a gold trim edition. Toyota fail as well.

Rivian I don’t think looks as bad.

I can see why. Maybe they don’t want to disturb anything. I dunno.

What did it cost you get your sway bar bushings changed?

The full RR interior is incredible. Great materials everywhere....great build quality. The RR Sport is also good, but not as good.

‘Yeah. RR is next level. Maybe a step up from MB. I really liked the screen and haptic feedback. Does your S580 have haptic feedback?

I can’t believe how accommodating the back seat can be. And the materials and customization is amazing. I can’t imagine the reliability is any good but it certainly has all the features one could ask for. Something else I really liked is that sitting in the drivers seat, the vehicle has excellent ergonomics. Everything seems to be within reach, especially the screen. Perhaps there were too many buttons on the steering wheel, but that is no big deal But the view out from the front windshield is excellent

You have or had Buick?

I really like the matte jobs that Mercedes does.

I think GM is going to regret making the EV hummer.

when the next economic downturn or the next recession hits they’re gonna have a serious problem selling these vehicles. The price point they are, they will just not sell. They really need small vehicles that are hybrids that could be sold to the masses. When a recession hits, lots of buyers or existing owners tend to downsize their vehicles. General Motors probably spent an extra extraordinary amount of money on the development of this vehicle and the plant conversion to make it if the plant in Oakville Ontario, is indicative of what might happen. Likely a serious prom is gonna happen at General Motors.

now at the Oakville Ontario plant Ford, who has lost I believe $5 billion on the con conversion is now going to make heavy duty, Ford F150, diesel truck trucks and gasoline truck. Lots of members on here predicted that.

With all due respect. I can’t understand why some (like yourself) see in the copper or orange colour that you choose. But I respect that you like it

I guess everyone sees things differently ^^. What is the appeal to you?

100% the XM will get canceled, total failure because it is way overpriced.

As for the RR, I feel like they have the most comfortable seats of anything I test drove recently in that price range. The only problem is the chances of having issues is more likely than other cars.

The Hummer will probably be cancelled too. I’ve only seen one on the road and I thought it was pretty awesome. Compared to the cybertruck which is the same price, I would much rather have a Hummer but I would imagine the cybertruck is a better overall vehicle.

We have a good amount of the hummers here, they aren't bad at all inside just insanely heavy and large for the interior package. Materials etc are all way better than the CT
