Thats a way of looking at it actually, the LC and GX being the same concept as a range…

6.5 for the GX550 isn’t slow.

I don't go by Lexus' numbers. I go by professional objective tests. Sometimes Lexus is optimistic, sometimes it goes the other way..

I really don't care, if I want a truly fast truck I hop in the Yukon. But my point is, even after driving that monster the LX still feels good being less powerful and not nearly as quick.

This is the reason I consider Lexus to still be a top tier brand.

At some point the penny might just drop that criticizing other cars for being "slow" while owning nothing that could reasonably be considered fast is, perhaps, a little hypocritical.

And quelle surprise, there are some very specific targeted ads in that feed. Who saw THAT coming?

Still not taking the bait. Get over yourself.

No, not really. I get all kinds of ads on my phone. Even so, you really don't wanna go there with politics with me, it's not allowed anyway.

Stop trying to pick a fight, it's well established we don't like each other.

This has always been the case with Toyota. There has always been more powerful domestic alternatives.

It goes both ways. Car and Driver got 6.2 seconds with the GX550 which exceeds the Lexus ratings but is faster than your LX

At the end of the day, nothing with a 0-60 time under 7 seconds is slow, and really most stuff in the 7s isn't going to feel slow in normal driving. With the electric assist in the LC I bet it feels just fine in regular driving.

Remember 7 seconds 0-60 used to be FAST.

And like I and all the surveys have said, people do care about fuel economy. Toyota has clearly chosen to cater to those who do...its the #1 issue for car buyers according to all the surveys I have seen. Its a selling proposition for sure.

Case in point, the Sienna hybrid. To me that vehicle is very slow. My office admin just bought one and she loves it, her biggest rave about it is the fuel economy. So, its for her its not for me.

I never looked at 0-60 when I had my GX. I always felt it was slow. When I switched to S, it responded better. I just checked and it's 7.2-7.8. It's relative but I think 7s is slow when you need a quick acceleration.

Lol. DJ is not a dragster. It's fine. I just think the GX might have been faster. That is an insane amount of torque to get it out of the hole, but I swear Motorweek said it's soft off the line.

I had an I35 that did it in 7 flat. It was a quick car. Nothing face altering, but powerful and quick.

yet the Pacifica gas is slower to 60mph than the Sienna hybrid. Sienna actually has more passenger volume. And more cargo volume
