LS460 is one of the last of the great Lexus vehicles. I'm probably going to take some flak saying this, but once cars like IS350, IS500, RSF, LC500 etc are gone, that's it. A coworker of mine has an LS430 he got from his parents, the car is still pristine, and purrs like a cat. Not that much power, but smooth.

That Gold has to go, I'm sorry

Oh a late 460 is a fabulous car and a real Lexus.

I just love my 430 too much, I prefer the older…or I’d have one.

It would take FOREVER. to find one with the bamboo wood. This looks absolutely sick.

At the end of the day, the Type R is a Civic, normal driving mpg is way more efficient than a 5.0, and it's way more practical... once you get past the styling

First pic car was 100% stock. 2nd pic car had intake, downpipe, intercooler and tuned on 93. On factory 20 inch wheels.

I will be honest. Never really knew much about the Type R until you have been writing about it. It was the official pace car of the Indy in Toronto

OEM tires were Continental 245/30/20. I tracked on them 2x. They weren’t terrible but they weren’t great either.

No AWD due to added weight which is why they don’t have a sunroof (added weight). Wife used to drive a MDX SH-AWD. Pretty good AWD.

That's pretty good for nearly 600 HP to the wheels. But I'm sure it would look different if you had your foot all the way down in 3rd gear 🤣

If the IS 500 didn't come out I was going elsewhere. I could see the ES being the only sedan offering in a couple years and everything else a SUV/Crossover thing. No way the LS has another gen and the IS future is a bit murky.

I got to see my first Polestar in traffic last week. It looked great.

Yea Gold just looks tacky on cars. It looks disastrously bad on that awful BMW XM thing.

Gold packages are just so 1990s.

And they haven’t aged well.

At the time of the 2nd pic I was running a 380hp canned tune from phearable. I’m custom tuned on 🌽now by Red star motoring. Never been on dyno. Street tune. I have the ingredients for low 500 to mid 500

Thanks! My Polestar has actually turned out to be one of the funnest cars I've owned. It's two biggest drawbacks are Android Automotive (the software platform it runs on) and it's limited range of 230 miles. It's also a bit compromise sharing a platform with the Volvo C40. But from a performance perspective, it's pretty amazing. Lease ends in January, I'll be sad returning it.

It's really going to be a sad day when Lexus stops producing the IS, RC and LC line. When my kids (20 and 24) leave the nest, I might consider picking up a used LC as a weekend car, although they will probably start to appreciate. My son's attending Berkeley right now, so I have other things to worry about 😔
