Just for grins I just measured my chin, it’s 63 inches off the ground and I am 72 inches tall. You’re 75 inches tall so unless your head 21 inches tall your chin is way above the 54 inch hood height of a stock Tahoe.
A Tahoe and you are the same height (75 inches) so unless your head is the same height as the whole greenhouse of the vehicle you are overstating it, but yeah they are really big.

...which they get with slightly raised econoboxes with 20'' wheelz, low profile tirez, run-of-the-mill drivetrain, basically no more clearance than any non-sporty car... yeah, very versatile. Given how many places I take my GS where people think you need a jimny or something makes you really cringe.
A cherokee is versatile. A wagon is versatile. A run-of-the-mill nissan rogue is a waste of space.

I don’t like where it’s heading. I am not a fan of CUVs. They are high compact cars with bigger tires. They drive like ***. I particularly dislike the RAV4 and CRV, but mostly because most people who have them are awful drivers. Honda inflated the CRV to the point they introduced the HRV which is similar in size to the original CRV.
I know several people with both RAV4s and CRVs and actually they drive and ride quite well. “Everyone who drives one is a terrible driver” is obviously nonsense.

Their pickup trucks just keep getting bigger and bigger as well. My company's fleet has about 20 Silverado/Sierra 3500HD's across 3 generations now and the 20+'s are huge compared to the previous two gens. They're hard to get into without step bars even for someone who is 6 feet tall. The 20+'s all have such high hood heights that you just can't see in front of you, and since they're base Pro models, no cameras or anything. You would think that this would be a safety issue from just not seeing a small child or animal in front of you.

A lot of it is styling that makes them look taller than they are. Expeditions are actually taller…

Yeah, I consider anything in the 20's to be gas hogs . Even my Sienna, which averages maybe 25 mpg is a gas hog in my mind. You have to understand my reference point, my Model Y and Ioniq 5 averages 120 and my Polestar on a bad day averages 109. And with gas out here nearly $5 a gallon, gas hog=no good 🤣

I was watching a video where a guy was roadtripping in an Escalade V which gets 16 MPG HWY lol, he said “you can get over 300 miles of highway range” LOL! Good lord.

I don't know, I think Altima and Rogue drivers are in a different class, at least out here where I live. They drive extremely aggressive, and they constantly want to prove their cars are fast. I do get some red light challenges from Camry, Accord, Civic, and sometimes the occasional Corolla driver, but they usually give up after the second attempt when I gap them so bad they realize they are just making a fool out themselves...but not Nissan Altima and Rogue drivers. They will take it to the bitter end, and I end up just giving up because they start to become a danger to themselves and everyone around them

I live in NorCal, and traffic is not so bad here, I drive against traffic commuting to work. Where I've driven the Mustang GT several times is in San Antonio Texas when I've gone to our office, these are rentals. BTW over the years of coming out here, I've rented Dodge Chargers, Cadillac CTS (Both 2.0L turbo and 3.6L V6), Toyota Sequoia, and everything down to a Nissan Versa, which I would say is the worst car I've ever driven. The commute to the office from my hotel is short, but in the evening when I go for dinner it's usually 10 miles or more each way, and the highways are big and wide open at night. And although gas is cheap out there, I end up spending almost $100 on gas when I get something like a GT.

Yeah, gas ain't cheap here, yesterday I passed Chevron near my house, $4.89 cash regular and $4.99 if you use credit card. But that said, if you gave me a choice of daily driving something like a fuel efficient Nissan Versa or an M2, M3 or M4 Comp that uses a lot of gas, I would happily go with option #2. As far as going to gas stations, my mindset has been totally reset, I charge daily at home, and the only car we fill up is our Sienna, but that's every 3 or 4 months, and I find that to be a hassle now
