No, it's .3 seconds quicker. 2008-2015 LX570s were 6.5 seconds to 60.

All I know is that all I actually need to drive around normally is around 8 seconds with some semblance of torque so I'm not revving to 5k every time. I'm really warming up to diesel daily drivers for that reason....

That said I've been daily driving the A8s so whenever I drive other cars they feel broken lol!

My Explorer was 0-60 in 10 seconds, my ES300 over 8. Pacifica is high 7s I think. All are/were fine.

Issue is top end when loaded. I’ve driven it, the Pacifica feels more powerful when say passing on the highway at 70-85 fully loaded. That was my concern. Around town it would be fine. You also have the terrible 4 cyl CVT drone in the Sienna.

This is worth noting, and very noticeable to me at least....

When cars pull out in front of you, they scoot. You seldom have to slam on the brakes anymore because cars are faster....

9 times out of 10 if someone pulls out in front of me I don't have to touch the brakes.

WAS NOT always like this. At all.

Interesting my, my old 2012 GX460 best tested time was 6.9 seconds 0-60 and some reported as much as 7.7 seconds. The new GX550 with around the same hp does a reported 0-60 of 6.3 seconds. Thats a sizable difference, don’t care what someone butt dyno says, objective testing is what should be relied on.

With that said I never had an issue with power in my old GX460.

My 1994 GS300 was quite slow. My Dad described the acceleration as deliberate which was spot on. 0-60 times aren’t particularly important in SoCal because some days on the freeways, you don’t get to 60 anyway. The IS250 was slow and the 350 was much better, but still slower than several competing cars in its class. I wanted to buy it anyway, but buying a Lexus off lease is not a great financial decision so I turned it in. The 250 was sold as a CPO days after I turned it in. The 350 probably went to auction. I extended the lease month to month for 6 months and turned it in with 42K miles which was the max without going over, but probably too much to be appealing as a CPO car.

Only way you can hear this is if you’re driving around in silence.

I hear it every time I accelerate. I HATE the sound of a Toyota 4 Cyl hybrid.

For a long time it kept me away from CVTs and Hybrids in general. I'm pleased to say its not much of an issue in our Pacifica, I think because of the V6 it doesn't need to be wound out for long periods of time.

Now if only Toyota'd put their own 3.5 v6 drivetrain in the Sienna...

...anyways.

LOL. I listen to music when I’m in the car. Every vehicle we have has a sub(s). Even the 3rd gen Prius has a 10 inch sub in the hatch.

Idk maybe I’ve learned to tune it out over the years. One thing for sure, I grew tired of listening to the magnaflow on my on old Tundra especially when towing. So I welcome a 4 cylinder hybrid.

I could see this in the old Prius because it doesn’t like to be rushed but in my PHEV a little throttle to get to speed is all needed. I drive in sport mode 100% of the time in PHEV. Normal mode in Prius. Eco mode does nothing but make you press the throttle harder.

I rarely floor my cars around town. Maybe here or there if I’m doing a pull in the track car and/or maybe if someone is dragging their tail on a back road highway and I need to pass in a hurry.

When Lexus decides to add a pano roof to the PHEV TX with the 3.5 V6, we may be in the market. My cousin has the regular gas TX with its turbo 4 cylinder and she mentioned it doesn’t get up to speed as well as her previous V6 RX350.
