New GT3 RS with all the aero still does 0-60 in 2.7 sec and does 1/4 mile in 10.9sec. Oh ye and it only way 3100lbs.

Don’t worry a new GT2 RS is coming which will do 0-60 probably in under 2sec and hit 1/4 in the 8s but it will probably be e-turbo.
Okay and? I'm still not paying 100k+ for a 6 cyl car, they just don't do it for me at all. I keep trying them out but they just don't really have it.....plus why would I about the GT3 when the GT2 exists?

By not making it a hybrid, I think GM is also looking to the trackability of the car. Most road courses will not allow electric cars or hybrids on track. What is the use of having a 1000 hp car if you are not ging to actually drive it like a 1000hp car. The risk of a battery fire getting out of control is the main concern. The last thing a track wants is a lithium inferno melting a hole in their road surface or constantly flaring back up and shutting down the event.

On a side note, I can barely handle the 650 hp/tq in my C7. I can't imagine how insanely fun and frightening 1000 would be.

Wow, imagine walking into you garage every morning and seeing this beast parked next to your Gen5 Viper ACR.

Very well put. I've never really complained about a TTV8. I'd still rather have displacement, but that's still fine and dandy. I've ridden in an S-Class or two.

Pretty sure GT3 RS exists only in LFA like domain. It's a car magazine poster child.

You can pay Porsche $1,600 and experience for 90 minutes at their track.

GT2 is Turbo and costs significantly more. It doesn’t sound as good and only revs to 7,500 I believe.

I highly recommend you drive a GT3 or especially an RS - the sound is incredible and better than every V8 that is not a flat plane crank with a Ferrari badge.

I have been in one, it's fine. It doesn't sound nearly as good as an 8/10/12 and it really doesn't do it for me, it's buzzy and shrill and once you factor in cost it's just not for me at all.

Which one did you ride in? It definitely should not be buzzy at all.

So every respected car reviewer, people like Chris Harris, are lying? Lol

It is pretty much agreed that the GT3 is one of the most epic sounding street cars and as close as you can get to a race car sound.

I’m obviously biased but own V8 as well.

The GT3, it's fine. The sound is hollow and annoying to me vs a V8/10/12 and the idle is buzzy

😂

Ok completely disagree.

Back to Corvette - can’t wait to see and hear the ZR1.
i have not really seen many Z06s in the wild at all. Regular C8 is a dime a dozen at this point but surprisingly not many Z06s around. I really need to drive one as reviewers claim its like an upgraded Ferrari 458.
