Yeah saw the leak this morning. Insanity. We were expecting 900-950hp for the ZR1 and 1100 or so for the Zora. 1064 for the ZR1 and a bone-stock RWD quarter mile time in the 9s is crazy.
It wasn’t too long ago the only way to get a 4-figure hp number from the factory was with 16 cylinders, 4 tubes, and $3m. To get that in a series-production sports car well under the $200k mark that sounds like a Ferrari is a massive achievement.

This is amazing! They lead with a 200 run and the exhaust produces thrust lol!

this is exciting news! to me a Z06 has always been about balance and a pure driving experience, while a ZR1 has always been about lunacy, and this totally delivers
i'd say this is the first time since the C6 ZR1 that i've been properly enthusiastic about a corvette, and generally speaking i'm not a fan of the C8

All the European brands are using Hybrids which not only increase weight but also complexity and long term maintenance/reliability.
My only criticism is about the styling - I wish they went more aggressive to further separate from Base and Z06.

I have always wanted a Vette and I've never even sat in one.

i'm not really a fan of the wing, i think it looks a bit ricer and i generally prefer a nice lip spoiler
i'd like to see an aggressive version of something like that

I have to give credit to GM for getting over 1,000 HP with pure ICE!

I need to look at this more, I think it looks great from what I've seen.. I'm not a huge sports car guy but oh I respect the beasts.
1000hp out of just an engine is epic. And we don't want hybrid crap on the ZR1 anyway, get the Zora if someone wants that.

I think Ford will also have the new Mustang with significant power.
I’m surprised it’s taking them so long to announce the new Shelbys.
The GTD is a monster but costs much more than ZR1, which is probably going to be $200k.
We are lucky to be in US and have these amazing cars come from American brands while everyone else is downsizing or going hybrid.
