Lexus tech #2in J D Power survey
J D Power surveys owners of vehicles for initial quality, dependability, customer satisfaction, service department and now tech experience. The amazing thing is their new technology interface has only been since the 2022 model NX. If I had been surveyed maybe they would be #1 instead of #2. I have read so many post from members complaining about Lexus technology. Well most owners are very satisfied like me. Love the interface in our 2023 NX and 2024 RX. J D Power also ranks Lexus #1 in dependability (24 out of 29 years), # 1 in customer service, # 8 in initial quality, and of course #2 in tech.

Source link for this? I wonder why no Tesla unless I missed it scanning the list, did they address?
I’d have expected them to rank highly in this survey. Shouldn’t be minimum sold, certainly they sell more units than many marques on this list.
NOTE not trying to make this a Tesla thread, just curious about the obvious omission

What is interesting is the survey is based on a 1000 point scale. So if these results are accurate even the highest rated brands show customers are less than 60% satisfied overall. I wonder if this has more to do with the quality of the tech or if most consumers are just challenged by technology in general resulting in more dissatisfaction.

Does anyone know what criteria Tesla, Rivian and Polestar are missing to qualify for this list?

Has to do with data sharing, legacy auto sells your private info Tesla and a few others do not. There are other ways to get user data like government registrations but from what I understand it varies depending on location.

Thanks for sharing. While I don't like Lexus latest interface and look, I heard good things about their safety features on latest models. Kudo to Korean. They have gone a long way. I wonder why MB is so far from BMW. Their techs are usually side by side. As for Tesla, except FSD, what else do you guys think they have an edge over other brands? I personally think BMW's hands free works better Tesla's Auto Pilot. Their latest 360 is also a joke.

Lexus being near the top while Toyota being halfway down the list is questionable considering they now use the exact same infotainment systems. Guess Lexus customers are just more easily satisfied after having dealt with the crappy touch and mouse pad for so long that anything else feels like an upgrade from a typewriter to a smartphone.
