Even as a four-door sedan, the Panamera is smaller than an S580 for a reason. I can't imagine anyone buying a Porsche that size.

I do believe it matters. Just relying on tape measure doesn’t tell the whole story.

Sure it does, we’re talking about the size of things…measurement is kind of important

‘The bulk and size is all in the rear. That is what makes the Panamera a large car. Measurement is important but not the definitive answer IMO. I think if you put a E and a Pano and a S class all side by side, the Pano would be closer to the S class based on the bulk.

This is not the back seat space somebody looking for an S-Class or 7 Series is going to be okay with.

The Panamera is not in any way, shape, size, form, or purpose a competitor to the S Class. It's an entirely different category of car for an entirely different kind of buyer. Maybe Jill should go find those buyers and tell them why the EPA website says they're wrong.

no need to be so personal. I just said they were both classified as a large car. Especially SWB S class (but not again in the US)

SWB S Class is still considerably bigger than the Panamera.
