I personally couldn’t do a base panamera engine but that’s me. I test drove a base cayenne with the V6TT and immediately went back to the dealer and asked for the S with the V8TT.

Oh I disagree.

That said, 2nd gen looks massively better than the first.

But it's not even close to your car.

They’re really different looking. I like both of them in different ways.

The W223 is one of the best looking large sedans. Every time I see one i kind of miss mine. But the transmission was a POS.

There's a still a funky photo angle though. The first one was hideous. I like this one much better.

There is no bad angle on your car, are you kidding? Lol.

Nothing against Porsche, but just not my thing. I respect the beast for sure.

I’ve heard others say the same thing, but I have no issues with the transmission.

It's how it acts when you are being aggressive, it feels confused and stutters. That's the main thing that disqualified the W222 for me

That sucks to hear. The old 7 speed was basically perfect, and 7 is enough gears.

Don't get me wrong, it's not BAD but it sometimes just does strange things and the big one for me is that it torque limits in 1/2 gear

I test drove a GLE63 suv and that’s one of the reasons we didn’t get one, the transmission hunting for gears was annoying.

People certainly complain about the transmission, no issues with mine though

since you drive a plaid, everything else will feel slow.

with my lc (10 speed!), if i drive more spiritedly in 'comfort mode' the transmission can be lazy to shift, etc., but why should i expect otherwise, that's what it's supposed to do, so i now switch to 'sport s' mode which downshifts pretty instantly and holds gears longer, and doesn't use gears 9 and 10. much more fun to drive in.

about the panamera... it's a great looking sports sedan to me, and i find the tesla model s to look similar. the panamera though, while not a small car, feels kinda cramped inside.

a 'stretch 911' though is never going to feel that comfortable to get in and out of. i accept my lc500 is a bit challenging to get in and out of, but once in, it's super comfortable (amazing seats).
