Looks a lot like a Holden Commodore.

No. Toyota let journalists experience the 300hp version and the 400hp version. And then in the video the engineer referred to the 600hp and mentioned that one was intended for motorsports, just as the original article references. It's pretty obvious these are production-intent engines, especially being paired with an 8-speed auto in a stock chassis Lexus IS.

If you want to get into semantics, I could also claim that the engine won't go into production in either 300 or 400 HP form because the engineers and others from Toyota never mentioned that it would go into production in those forms. If they mention nothing about them being used in motorsport, it could simply mean that they're just doing basic testing of the engine's capabilities at lower outputs.

I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Toyota is developing a new turbo 4 to replace its current one that can make 3-400 HP because there are already production engines that make that much power. But until we see an actual official confirmation of these engines going into a production vehicle, and not speculation from Best Dreams, they're nothing more than tests. Whatever the case, it's certainly not going to sound as sexy and clickbaitable as the 600 HP figure claim that the journalists are milking.
