new car advice
its time for a new car for my g/f. shes been driving my 95 avalon, but its time to move up. Budget is about 20k. She wants something sporty, reliable and good gas mileage. I'd rather not go used. I had a couple ideas, can anyone give any recomendations on any of these or add any I didn't think of?
1. 2004 Solara SE 4-Cyl
2. 2004 Camry SE 4-Cyl
3. 2004 Sentra SE-R (alot less than 20k, I know)
I've been so spoiled by my lex, I cant really think of anything else that would fit the bill...

A 4 cylinder Camry is not sporty.
I'd get a Civic maybe.

Add a few grands to your budget and get her a 04 Acura TSX, it is unique and man.....it has the best black colored interior in my opinion.
If you want to keep your original budget plan, you guys should try Honda Accord coupe. Yeah Acura RSX is also a good choice. My recommendations are here:
Acura TSX
Honda Accord sedan/coupe
Acura RSX
Mazda 6 sedan
Mazda 3 5-door wagon

I'll second the TSX. Actually, I guess I'm "thirding" the TSX since 1SICKLEX beat me to the second...
I had one as a loaner last week and was really impressed. The interior is really, really sharp. It drove almost as smoothly as my Lexus, and had surprising power for a 4-banger. And, as with all Acuras, you simply can't beat the price for what you get--their value is untouchable.
Then again, if you were thinking Solara then maybe a coupe is more her style so you can save a few more bucks and go for an RSX. Either way, it's a great choice.

thanks alot guys. g/f doesnt care for the styling of the tsx, but the RSX was a good suggestion I didnt think of. I like the mazda 6 alot, but im 6'3 and really cant drive one comfortably. I think its between the solara and rsx right now. we'll have to drive the RSX sometime this week. I'll keep you updated. thanks again
