This is going to be totally off-topic but just for fun...
Back in '92 when I bought my ES - it was the veritable pu$$y wagon. I had a '90 300ZX before that and it was kind of a "hoochie" wagon - but the Lexus was better at attracting "quality" women.
Now that I'm old and married - it doesn't really matter to me any more but younger women ~ 20ish dig the S2000.

Yes, some young women like the S2000, but even though it doesn't have the C5's torque, it still is a pretty hard-edged no-compromise sports car that is marketed toward males. I realize this is somewhat of a stereotype, but young women often prefer "cute" cars such as the V W Cabrio and Beetle, especially the Beetle convertible, the Miata, the PT Cruiser, the 2 seater Thunderbird, etc..... or cheap, practical entry-level cars like the Hyundai Accent, Toyota Echo, Kia Rio, etc...

One exception was HIN Seattle where our friend who owns SoundDomain.com (at that time he was an S2000 owner - he's moved on to a beautiful 993 C2S) sponsored a bunch of S2000s instead of getting a booth.
Girls were all over the S2000s. Mine is really mild - but folks seemed to like it.

Based on sheer looks... especially from what all my female friends have ever said to me as well... I'd say S2000... the C5 is great looking, but lots of people associate C5's with Mullets (no offense to anyone)... I've taken the factory tour (GREAT EXPERIENCE!) and I kinda confirmed that. The S2000 fits the image of the younger, more sophisticated person. It won't be as fast, but it sure handles well and has bulletproof reliability. Have fun with the new car! I think we should deal with car thieves here like they do in Saudi Arabia.... chop their hands off.

It will turn many more heads than S2000, which doesnt really attract attention if u just pull up to a random place like a C5 would IMO.
You should also consider 350Z and the G35coupe, i would take them over the S2000.

I would take a C5 coupe.. from what I hear S2000s arent even fast if yoru not willing to concentrate and drive VERY aggresively... in fact if you launch an S2000 at idle it will fair worse 0-60 and quarter mile than a stock SC400.... roughly 8 seconds and 15.5 or so... The only way they got the factory times was to brake torque the car to 7,000 rpm and then let it go. To have to do this to a car to get good perfromance out of it isnt really worth it.
Even if you don't want to get a dometic, I would say look at a G35 coupe in 6 spd. those things are fast and very stylish, and indeed a babe-magnet!

At least the G35 coupe is a good suggestion...
If you have an S2000 and don't drive it aggressively you've bought the wrong car. To the original poster of this thread... I saw some really nice pics of the C6 today. You might want to wait for it to come out.

Good point, Lig, in your answer to SC400 V8..........you cannot conventionally brake-torque a manual transmission. You can keep one foot on the brake and slowly let the clutch out just to the contact point, holding the car back with the brake...and then release the brake and drop the clutch at the same time, but that will ruin the clutch in a HURRY.
The Honda, by nature, is a low torque/ VERY high-RPM engine....part of the nature of V-TEC engines.
This was done partly because of expensive gas in Japan where it was designed....giving the driver the option of good mileage for easy driving, and power at high-RPM when he wants it and is willing to rev.

I forgot to add, in my previous reply, that to do what I said, you have to have a BIG right foot that can press the gas and brake at the same time ( your left foot will be on the clutch ). So, in addition to ruining the clutch, this would be impractical for obvious ergonomic reasons.

I was just trying to be a smart-*** since there are NO auto S2000s in exsistence. Brake-torqueing is really only possible with an auto-tranny.The technique that most S2000 owners utilize (if they don't care much for their clutches or rear ends) is side stepping the clutch while revving to ~6,000 rpms
That's the only way to get the sub 6 sec 0-60 times. The fastest time slip I've seen for a stock S2000 is 13.7.
It's not a dragster though...
I've adjusted my pedals to facilitate better heel and toeing while autocrossing or at the track. They were pretty far apart from the factory...
